On behalf of the USS Aries Restoration Project, thank you for your interest in volunteering aboard the Aries. As a non-profit organization, volunteers are the lifeblood of our operations. Without the volunteers support, restoring the Aries to flying condition would be impossible.
Volunteers accommodations will be onboard the Aries herself. Our goal is to restore the Aries to flying condition and make her a mobile memorial/museum that will visit coastal events and venues throughout the United States. While we do believe volunteers will have a very positive and rewarding experience, it is important to keep in mind that you should come prepared to work.
Currently we need volunteers of all skill levels, including Electricians, Machinist, Engineman, Internal Communications Specialist, Marine HVAC, Administration/Procurement, Gas Turbine Specialist (both electrical & mechanical) and anyone who just wants to lend a hand in anyway.
